The Lao Rugby Federation is excited to send an elite side to compete in the 2012 Kowloon Tens and participate in the exciting atmosphere of rugby created by the Hong Kong Sevens, one of the biggest rugby competitions in the world. The Lao International Nagas Side consists of the Lao PDR’s best rugby athletes from the EDF Wild Hogs and Vientiane Buffaloes men’s club teams.
In the one-day Kowloon Tens competition, the team will play against teams from all over the world traveling to the event, including the Rwandan National Team. The competition will feature some of the highest level of play yet for the young Lao International side, but also the atmosphere created by the week-long rugby festival including men’s and women’s competition from international sides like England, New Zealand, South Africa and many other top-tier rugby countries, will give the Lao team a chance to watch and learn from the best teams in the world.
All of the Lao athletes on the team have committed to fundraising for the event, a significant commitment for nearly all of our athletes, many of whom are still students. In addition to this fundraising and the generous sponsorship already secured, the LRF is seeking sponsorship to support individual players to ensure they can take advantage of this unique opportunity.
The LRF offers a range of benefits to sponsors who choose to support this exciting initiative. In addition to the benefits outlined below, all tour sponsors will be listed on the Lao Nagas live tour blog, receive individual press releases outlining their support for the growth of rugby in the Lao PDR and receive a personalised photograph of the team.
Sponsor a Naga: 4,000,000 LAK (500 USD)
Sponsors at this level will sponsor all the travel and competition costs for one player and receive the following benefits from the LRF for this important contribution to the team:
-
•Framed photo of your player in action at the Kowloon Tens
-
•Recognition on the Sponsor-a-Nagas webpage
-
•A Lao Rugby Nagas tee-shirt signed by your player
