Club Rugby

Currently, Laos has 5 domestic clubs including the Vientiane Buffaloes, Vientiane Lions, Vientiane Wild Hogs, Vientiane Tigers and the newly formed Xieng Khouang RFC; all teams play in the Lao Colours League and the Lao League, an annual competition made up of 8 or more senior and U18 teams from the Lao PDR. Clubs also travel to regional competitions in Thailand and other countries when possible.

Every year, the LRF holds Laos’ premier club competition, the Vientiane 10s. 2019 represented the 12th year of the tournament that now sees more than 20 teams from Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, Australia and the US participate each year in a fun weekend of fast-paced action and enthusiastic support. We welcome club teams of all backgrounds to our annual competition.
